February is I Love To Read Month, and the Winnipeg Football Club is breaking its own record for participation in the annual event.
There are 10 Blue Bombers players visiting more than 30 schools over 28 days this month, all across southern Manitoba.
Jason Vega, Teague Sherman, Rory Kohlert, Brett Carter, Steve Morley, Chris Greaves, Louie Richardson, and Carl Fitzgerald are making the rounds, with one lucky school getting a visit from QB Drew Willy when he pops into town later this month.
Not only do the students get to hear the players read a selection from a favourite book, they have an opportunity for autographs and pictures at the end of the session. Plus, each student receives a Winnipeg Blue Bombers bookmark to keep.
