Winnipeg Blue Bombers

Volunteer Program

Be Part of Something Bigger Than the Game.

The Fan Ambassadors. The Face of Blue Bombers Game Day.

You’ve felt the energy at Princess Auto Stadium. The energy of 30,000+ fans. The electricity before kickoff. The moments that make Bomber game day unlike anything else in this city.

Fan Ambassadors don’t just witness those moments, they help create them.

If you’re a people person who takes pride in doing things right, this is your program.

What It Means to Be a Fan Ambassador

Fan Ambassadors are an extension of the Blue Bombers organization, on the field, in the stands, and across the community. You’re not just a volunteer. You’re a standard-bearer for one of the proudest brands in Canadian football.

On game day, you’re the first person a fan meets at the gate and the last impression they carry home.

That matters to us. We think it’ll matter to you too.

On Game Day, You’ll Be Everywhere That Matters

The gates open and 30,000+ fans pour in. You’re already there.

Fan Ambassadors are stationed at entry gates, throughout the concourse, in the seating bowl, and wherever fans need a familiar, helpful face.

Game Day: What You’ll Do

  • Welcome fans at gates and throughout the venue
  • Assist with wayfinding and seating
  • Support accessibility needs
  • Answer questions about concessions and services
  • Bring energy to sponsor activations and fan engagement moments
Beyond Game Day

The Blue Bombers don’t stop when the season does, and neither do Fan Ambassadors.

Year-round opportunities include community festivals and events, school and youth football programs, stadium tours, corporate partner activations, and recognition events. Every appearance is a chance to extend the Blue Bombers standard of hospitality beyond the stadium.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re building a high-performing volunteer team that reflects the professionalism of this organization.

  • Strong communicator
  • Solutions-focused
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Comfortable in high-energy environments
  • Team-first mindset

You don’t need experience in sports or events. You need the right attitude and the commitment to back it up.

Minimum age: 16  |  Open to all Manitoba residents

The Commitment

We keep standards high because our fans expect it.

  • Commit to a minimum of 3 home games per season
  • Attend a mandatory pre-season training session
  • Optional opportunities to participate in non-game day events throughout the year

If you show up prepared and take pride in the jersey, you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Get Out of It

This isn’t just a volunteer role. It’s hands-on experience inside a professional sports organization, the kind of access most people never get.

You’ll gain real event operations training, exposure to live sports marketing and fan engagement, and a recognized credential within the Blue Bombers community. Many of our alumni have gone on to careers in sports, events, hospitality, and customer service.

How the Process Works

We run this like a professional recruitment process because we think you deserve to know where you stand.

Once you apply, we review your application, conduct a brief screening if required, confirm your placement, and move you through onboarding and training before your first assignment.

Our Standards

When you wear Blue Bombers gear, you represent this club. That means professional conduct at all times, full respect for stadium policies and fan privacy, and zero alcohol or cannabis while on duty. It also means supporting your fellow ambassadors and the staff around you.

We hold the standard high. We also make sure you have everything you need to meet it.

Ready to Join the Team?

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Spots are limited, we keep the program intentionally sized so every ambassador gets real development and recognition.
