WINNIPEG, MB., August 9, 2017 – The Canadian Football League announced Wednesday that two of the three Shaw CFL Top Performers of the Week are Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Kicker Justin Medlock and defensive back Maurice Leggett have been named after their solid outings in last week’s win in Ottawa.

Medlock kicked the game winner (38 yards) with no time remaining, his second walk-off field goal of the season and third in 24 regular season games with Winnipeg, while finishing the night 6 of 7, nailing his longest from 52 yards. Medlock also kicked two single points, including one crucial to the team’s comeback late in the fourth quarter.

Leggett returned from injury to make a significant impact on the team’s defense. He finished the night with seven defensive tackles, two quarterback sacks and a forced fumble.
