2017: Blue Bombers

Had a spectacular season cut short by after suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon in a win over B.C. on October 14… Appeared in 13 games and continued to put up his ball-hawking stats with 50 tackles, three quarterback sacks, one QB pressure, three forced fumbles and fumble recoveries, three interceptions, three pass knockdowns and two tackles for a loss… Returned one of his three interceptions 54 yards for a TD in a Banjo Bowl win over Saskatchewan… Also continues to see spot duty as a returner and returned a punt 97 yards for a TD, also against the Riders in the Banjo Bowl… Now has 16 interceptions and four defensive touchdowns in 63 career games for the Bombers.

2014-16: Blue Bombers

Was named the Bombers top defensive player in 2016 after finishing with 51 defensive tackles, five pass knockdowns and two fumble recoveries while tying for a league-high seven interceptions, three of which were returned for TDs… Was just the second Blue Bomber to ever record three TD returns in a single season (Dick Thornton, 1963) and just the second CFL player to accomplish that in 11 years… Posted a solid 2015 season with 54 tackles, five sacks and an interception… Was named the Bombers top defender in his first year in Winnipeg, 2014, after recording 65 tackles, two sacks, five interceptions and two forced fumbles.

Professional (2008-13)

Signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2008 and became the first undrafted rookie in franchise history to win the Mack Hill Award as the team’s top rookie… Appeared in 22 games over two years with the Chiefs before signing with the Detroit Lions in 2011… Also spent time with the Utah Blaze (2013) and Philadelphia Soul (2014) of the AFL.

College

A member of two NCAA Division II national championship teams with the Blazers in 2004 and 2007. Appeared in 45 games over three years as a starter, tallying 136 tackles, two sacks and 23 passes defended… Was a First-Team All-Gulf South All-Star in 2006.
