Zach Collaros and Willie Jefferson named CFL Top Performers

WINNIPEG, MB., September 13, 2022 – The Canadian Football League today announced that Blue Bombers quarterback Zach Collaros and defensive end Willie Jefferson have been named CFL Top Performers for their work in Saturday’s 54-20 win over the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the annual Banjo Bowl.

The CFL’s reigning Most Outstanding Player completed 21 of 25 passes for 273 yards and four touchdowns, with no interceptions. He now leads the league in passing touchdowns with 26, while already throwing for 3,236 yards in 2022.

Jefferson recorded two sacks, a forced fumble and three defensive tackles in Saturday’s victory. Jefferson has now registered seven quarterback sacks, a forced fumble, 25 defensive tackles, and an interception (returned for a touchdown) through 13 games in 2022.
