Blue Bombers and Purolator Announce Winner in Small Business Showcase

WINNIPEG, MB., June 24, 2021 – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Purolator are pleased to announce that Cranked Energy Bars is the winner of the Small Business Showcase presented by Purolator.

Cranked Energy Bars was chosen out of the five finalists and is the winner of a $50,000 sponsorship for the 2021 season. Each of the five finalists will also receive a $500 shipping credit from Purolator.

To win the grand prize, the finalists were asked to submit a two-minute video pitch on why their company is the most deserving. The wining pitch was selected by Purolator and the Winnipeg Football Club.

“The five finalists submitted extremely well-done and moving video pitches,” said President and CEO, Wade Miller. “It wasn’t an easy decision, but after much discussion we are excited to announce that Cranked Energy Bars is our winner.”

To be eligible, a business had to be a for-profit company whose principal place of business is located in Manitoba and has less than 50 full-time employees.

All eligible entries received during the submission period were judged on the following criteria: Involvement and value the business brings to the Manitoba community, sponsorship category is a good fit to partner with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, and completion of the application.
