Bombers add four to roster

WINNIPEG, MB., December 4, 2018 –   The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announce today the club has signed international receiver Evan Clark, national running back Johnny Augustine, international defensive end Patrick Choudja and international receiver Kenny Lawler.

Clark (5’10, 190, St. John’s University, August 6, 1995 in Phoenix, AZ) played five seasons with the St. John’s University Johnnies, totalling 29 touchdowns. In 44 games played, Clark had 90 receptions for 1701 receiving yards, the 14th most all time at St. John’s. In 2018, Clark participated in the Kansas City Chiefs rookie camp.

Augustine (5’9, 202, University of Guelph, July 7, 1993 in Welland, ON.) signed as a free agent with Winnipeg prior to last season, and saw action in nine games. Augustine recorded seven carries for 51 yards and one touchdown. He played five seasons with the Guelph Gryphons, rushing for 2,742 yards and 28 touchdowns on 483 rushes. In his senior year, Augustine rushed for 690 yards and nine touchdowns on 122 carries.

Choudja (6’3, 263, Nevada, April 11, 1996 in Oakley, CA) played four seasons with the Nevada Wolfpack, totalling 93 tackles, four and a half sacks and four forced fumbles in 50 games. Choudja signed with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2018 and spent time on the Bombers’ practice roster in 2018.

Lawler (6’2, 203, University of California, June 25, 1994 in Pomona, CA.) was selected in the seventh round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks, spending time on their practice squad in 2016 and 2017. Lawler played three seasons with the California Golden Bears, catching 143 passes for 1706 yards and 27 touchdowns
