Extreme Heat Advisory

WINNIPEG, MB., July 7, 2018 – Due to the heat warning issued by Environment Canada this morning cautioning that temperatures will rise above 30C and humidex values exceed 40C today, the Winnipeg Football Club is advising fans to take the following precautions to protect themselves:

  • Drink plenty of water and other non-alcoholic, non-caffeinated beverages to stay hydrated
  • Monitor symptoms of heat stroke or heat exhaustion such as high body temperature, lack of sweat, confusion, or fainting.
  • Wear a hat and light, loose-fitting clothing along with sun screen.

Fans can bring into the stadium sealed plastic water bottles up to 1 litre or empty water bottles which can be filled up at water fountains throughout the stadium.

Fans are also reminded to bring a tin for the bin for tonight’s Purolator tackle hunger game in support of Winnipeg Harvest. The Grey Cup will be in the tailgate area for photos as of 5:30 p.m., kickoff is at 7:30 p.m .
