Bombers Add Three, Release Two

WINNIPEG, MB., June 20, 2017 –  The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the club has added National wide receiver Brett Blaszko and International receivers RJ Harris and Gary Chambers to the practice roster.
 
Blaszko (6-4, 205, Calgary, January 25, 1993 in Oakville, ON) spent last season on the BC Lions’ practice roster. He spent his collegiate career with Calgary, recording 1,903 yards and 20 touchdowns. He was named a CIS All-Star in 2014 and awarded the Canada West top rookie award in 2012. Blaszko was selected in the third round, 23rd overall by the Lions in the 2016 CFL Draft.

Harris (6’0, 194, New Hampshire, June 3, 1992 in Wurzburg, GER) played four seasons with the New Hampshire Wildcats. He averaged 6.3 receptions, 88.3 receiving yards and caught 36 touchdowns throughout his career with the Wildcats. Harris spent the 2017 training camp with the BC Lions.
 
Chambers (6’4, 209, Arizona State, March 15, 1993 in Glendale, AZ) played four seasons and appeared in 34 career games with the Arizona State Sun Devils. He finished his senior season with 26 catches for 486 yards and two touchdowns. Chambers spent the 2017 training camp with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
 
The club has also removed international receiver TJ Thorpe and national kicker Félix Ménard-Brière from the practice roster.
