He Wore It Well:

Rick House, SB 1979-84, 1989-91

Drafted by the Bombers in 1979, House served two tours with the club – interrupted by a stretch with the Edmonton Eskimos in between – and will be remembered as one of the grittiest receivers in team history. He still ranks fifth in all-time receiving for the Bombers, behind only Milt Stegall, James Murphy, Joe Poplawski and Terrence Edwards. He was part of three Grey Cup teams – 1984 and 1990 with the Bombers and 1987 with the Eskimos – and is a member of the club’s hall of fame.

Notable:

Maurice Leggett was part of a distinct group of six men who have won the Bombers Most Outstanding Defensive Player Award more than once, capturing it in both 2016 and 2014, and joining multiple winners Greg Battle (1989, 1990, 1991, 1992), Doug Brown (2004, 2008, 2009), Aaron Brown (1983, 1984), John Helton (1979, 1980) and Brian Herosian (1975, 1977). The award was first presented in 1974.

FYI:

Ron ‘Pepe’ Latourelle was not only a gifted punt returner during his days with the Bombers – he remains in the Top 5 – he was a member of four Grey Cup teams and is in the team’s hall of fame… Michael Richardson was the last running back to lead the CFL in rushing with less than 1,000 yards, winning the crown in 1993 with 925 yards.
