Inducted: 1990

Earl Lunsford was a spectacular player during his days with the Calgary Stampeders, including rushing for a then league-record 1,794 yards in 1961, and authoring a career that saw him inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 1983.

Lunsford became the General Manager of the Bombers in 1968 and over a 15-year stretch through 1982 helped the club move from the verge of bankruptcy to a period of stability. During his tenure, Winnipeg Stadium twice expanded from its original capacity of 15,000 to over 32,000 and the team went from a cellar dweller to a West Division contender.
