Promotions Team Ambassador

Department: Community Relations
Reports to: Director of Community Relations
Hours: Casual/Part-Time, evenings and weekends
Term: May 2017 – November 2017

Promotions Team Ambassadors represent the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in various outreach events across Manitoba and on game days at Investors Group Field. Ambassadors will work in teams to assist with community outreach and retail operations at various festivals and public events, while maintaining the integrity of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers brand in all interactions. In addition, Promotions Team Ambassadors assist the Community Relations team with logistics on all Winnipeg Blue Bombers home game days at Investors Group Field.

Duties

  • Assist community relations team with logistical support during all 2017 Winnipeg Blue Bombers home games at Investors Group Field, including meeting VIPs, transporting large groups of people throughout the stadium, and other hosting duties
  • Forge relationships and host a fun, inclusive atmosphere at community outreach and corporate events, while maintaining the integrity of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers brand
  • Assist with retail operations where needed at community outreach and corporate events
  • Collect and submit engaging photographs and social media content from community and corporate events

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year completed education in a communications program
  • Must maintain a valid class 5 driver’s license
  • Must be able to commit to attending all Winnipeg Blue Bombers home games for 2017, beginning 3 hours prior to kickoff
  • Core competencies for this position include customer service, ability to work with others, enthusiasm and initiative, strong communication skills, understanding of brand identity
  • A basic understanding of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Canadian Football League are assets
