Team Adds Four Ahead of Rookie Camp

WINNIPEG, MB., May 24, 2017 – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the club has added national kicker Félix Ménard-Brière, International defensive tackle Cory Johnson, International defensive end Caleb Bostic, and International lineman Trevan Brown.

Ménard-Brière (5-10, 180, Montreal, February 6, 1993 in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, QC) was selected 34th overall by Winnipeg in the 2017 CFL Draft. He was named to the 2016 All-Canadian First-Team as a punter after leading USports with a 42.4-yard average. He had 21 punts inside the 20-yard line and added 17 field goals on 25 attempts last year.

Johnson (6-2, 300, Kentucky, April 10, 1992 in Columbia, SC) was signed as an undrafted free agent by Atlanta following a senior season at Kentucky in which he recorded 67 tackles and two sacks. Following his stint with Atlanta, Johnson was added to the Kansas City Chiefs practice roster.

Bostic (6-3, 240, Miami (OH), August 25, 1988 in Columbus, OH) played collegiately at Miami Ohio, and most recently spent time in the Arena League with New Orleans where he recorded 75 tackles and seven sacks throughout his arena career.

Brown (6-4, 310, Miami (OH), May 21, 1993 in Florence, KY) was a four-year starter at Miami Ohio, starting 41 games at left tackle throughout his collegiate career.

 

The club has also placed international receiver Stephen Burton on the suspended list.
