Bombers lock up two more

WINNIPEG, MB., May 20, 2016 –  The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the signings of two of the club’s draft choices from the 2016 CFL Draft. Defensive back Taylor Loffler (third round, 19th overall), and linebacker Shayne Gauthier (fourth round, 28th overall) have inked contracts with the club.

Loffler (6-3, 222, UBC, February 25, 1992 in Kelowna, B.C.) played the 2015 season with the Thunderbirds after spending time at Boise State. In one season at UBC, Loffler notched 50 tackles and showed a nose for the football, snagging two interceptions and breaking up two passes.
Gauthier (5-11, 218, Laval, February 20, 1992 in Dolbeau-Mistassini, QC) played four seasons with the Rouge et Or, where he totalled 130 tackles. As a senior, he earned CIS second team All-Canadian Honours and he is a two-time RSEQ All-Star.
