WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the club has signed International defensive back Jonte Green, and International offensive lineman Lawrence Martin.
Green (6-0, 184, New Mexico State, July 19, 1989 in Tampa, FL) was drafted in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL Draft by Detroit. Green played 24 games for the Lions from 2012-2013, including seven starts at cornerback. He tallied 38 career tackles, one interception, seven passes defended, and one sack. He also spent time with Arizona and Buffalo.
Martin (6-3, 320, USF, October 31, 1990 in Daytona Beach, FL) spent two seasons at South Florida, including six starts in his senior season. He saw action in ten games of his final year, also playing tight end. He spent time in the AFL with Tampa Bay following his collegiate career.
