Get ready to experience the ultimate football league coming to a rural community near you! Engage in the action, fun, and adventure of Flag Football, a sport known for its excitement, teamwork, and spirited competition.
The Winnipeg Football Club is excited to launch a new Rural Flag Football League! Flag football is a fun, safe, and easy-to-learn sport – no prior experience is needed. This co-ed league kicks off in May and runs for six weeks. Teams will practice in their hometowns and compete against nearby communities, offering a great opportunity to build connections and develop your football skills.

League Highlights

What dates and times will practices and games be held?
The schedule for practices and games will be determined by your community. Specific dates and times will be communicated to you once the schedule is finalized.
Where will the games be played?
Games will take place at various grass fields within your community and across other communities in the league. Locations will rotate, and details will be provided before each game.
What equipment does my child need to play?
Flag football requires minimal equipment. While cleats are recommended, athletic running shoes are acceptable for play. Flags and jerseys will be provided for every player during both practices and games.
How are teams organized?
When registering, you can either register an entire team or sign up as an individual player (free agent). Free agents will be assigned to a team within your community.
Are there team uniforms?
Yes, each player will receive two jerseys as part of their registration, which they will wear during games.
