Sherwyn Thorson was a steady fixture on the Bomber offensive line during his days from 1962-68. And it’s little wonder he could handle himself in the trenches – he wrestled at Iowa where he was an NCAA champion in 1962, and is in the Iowa Wrestling Hall of Fame and University of Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame.
