About the Scholarship
The Red River Métis Football Scholarship Fund was established by the Winnipeg Football Club to support
Red River Métis student-athletes in pursuing their educational goals. Each year, a scholarship valued
at $2,500 is awarded to a Red River Métis football player who is continuing their education.
Recipients are selected annually by the Manitoba Métis Federation in partnership with the Winnipeg
Football Club, recognizing individuals who demonstrate both athletic commitment and a dedication to
their academic journey.
Award Criteria
This scholarship is open to individuals who demonstrate the following qualities:
- Red River Métis football players
- Must be currently pursuing or planning to pursue post-secondary education
- Available to attend a Winnipeg Blue Bombers home game for the scholarship presentation
