2021 was another successful season for the Purolator Tackle Hunger program thanks to the generosity of our fans.
Each season the Winnipeg Blue Bombers ask fans to bring a tin for the bin (non-perishable food items) in support of Harvest Manitoba. These items are collected at all four gates at every home game throughout the season including the Purolator Tackle Hunger game, a CFL league-wide initiative in support of various food banks across Canada.
In 2021, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers raised over 297,200 pounds of food for Harvest Manitoba for the Tackle Hunger game alone, plus thousands of pounds of food raised each game throughout the season. Winnipeg had the second largest donation amount in the CFL with a whopping 181,400 pounds of food donated.
