2026: Blue Bombers
The Blue Bombers signed Ceresna to a two-year contract on February 6, 2026.
2025: Edmonton Elks
Ceresna signed with the Elks as a free agent on February 12, 2025. His 2025 campaign was impacted by a knee injury that attempted to play through before having his season come to an end in the Labour Day Classic.
He finished the year with 16 defensive tackles, one sack and one interception in 11 games.
2024: Toronto Argonauts
The Argos acquired Ceresna in a trade with Edmonton on January 14, 2024, along with the rights to a player off Edmonton’s negotiation list in exchange for Kurleigh Gittens Jr. and Toronto’s 7th round selection in the 2024 CFL Draft.
Ceresna suited up in 17 games for the Argonauts, where he recorded 29 tackles, eight sacks, and a forced fumble and was a member of their 2024 Grey Cup championship squad.
He was also named a CFL All-Star.
2018; 2021-23: Edmonton Eskimos/Elks
Ceresna played in 60 games over four seasons in his first stint in Edmonton and was twice named the club’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player (2022, 2023) and a CFL All-Star in 2022.
He was first acquired by Edmonton in a trade with Ottawa on February 2, 2018, for defensive end Odell Willis.
2017: Ottawa Redblacks
Ceresna first came to the CFL with Ottawa in 2017, signing with the club on May 6. He played in 14 games in his first CFL season, registering 18 tackles and two sacks.
Pro/College
Ceresna first turned pro with the New York Jets in 2016 as an undrafted free agent and has also had a stint with the New York Giants (2019).
He split his collegiate career between Southern Connecticut University (2012) and Cortland State (2013-15), where he was named Second Team All-ECAC North as a senior and Second Team All-ECAC South as a junior.
As Southern Connecticut State University (2012) he was named to Northeast-10 Conference All-Rookie Team. He also worked as an assistant offensive line coach with Cortland in 2016 before his opportunity with the Jets.
