Access Credit Union and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are teaming up through their partnership to combine expertise in support of community initiatives focused on youth and financial literacy. The Club will partner with Access’ Financial Literacy Trainers to host special events and visit schools within the community to promote financial literacy.

The Financial Literacy program at Access Credit Union began in 2017 and provides the tools and resources to give employees, members, and the community the knowledge and skills they need to achieve financial success. The goal is to help increase financial knowledge and prepare for life’s biggest events. Each workshop is led by a certified Financial Literacy trainer. Schools across Manitoba will have the opportunity to win a “Tackle your finances like a pro” workshop, delivered by the Access Financial Literacy team, along with a Winnipeg Blue Bombers player. Students can look forward to a 60-minute fun and interactive workshop where they will learn practical money management skills and tips, ask questions and interact with a Bombers player, all while learning about financial literacy.

Schools that are interested in a workshop featuring a Winnipeg Blue Bombers player are asked to apply by visiting accesscu.ca/bombers. Applications are to be received by June 30, 2024, for the 2024/2025 school year.
