June 8, 2016 – Lesperance Family

Tonight’s Manitoba Beef Producers family of the game is the Lesperance family. Brett coaches flag football and high school tackle football. Penny volunteers for high school football and ringette programs around the city. Their children, Sarah, Connor, Drake, and Alana all play and coach a combination of flag football, tackle football, and ringette. Tonight’s Manitoba Beef Producers family of the game is … the Fisher Family.  Ken Fisher was a Fan Ambassador who volunteered with the Bombers before he passed away last year. We’re proud to have his wife Dorothy, his son Eric, and his future daughter-in-law Jen here today in honour of Ken.

 

July 14th, 2016 – the Short family

Tonight’s Manitoba Beef Producers family of the game is … the Short Family.  Vickie and Greg both grew up on beef producing farms in Manitoba. Their extended family showed cattle in fairs and were an important part of breeding Shorthorn cattle. Today they are here with their daughter Alana and her friend Kendra.

 

July 21, 2016 – The Finnie Millar Family

Tonight’s Manitoba Beef Producers family of the game is … the Finnie Millar Family. Janette is a tireless volunteer who champions causes and charities all over the city including: Winnipeg Harvest and Alpha House and is also a co-chair for Hands to Heart, a fundraising event that raised $90,000 for the Canadian Women’s Foundation over the past 2 years. Janette is here with her sons Lachlan and Ramsay, and her partner Scott.

 

August 3, 2016 – The Miller Family

Tonight’s Manitoba Beef Producers family of the game is the Miller Family. Elizabeth, Brian, and their son Will have been coming to Bomber games for more than 7 years! Will is a football fan who plays defensive back for the Interlake Thunder. The Miller family has travelled from Lockport, Manitoba to be here tonight.

September 10, 2016 – the Watters family

Tonight’s Manitoba Beef Producers family of the game is … the Watters Family.  The Watters family has always been true blue and gold. They can be found decked out in all their Bomber gear on game days and they love to bring friends and family to the games too!

September 17 – the Boyd family

Tonight’s Manitoba Beef Producers family of the game is … the Boyd Family.

The Boyd family owns and operates S-G-and-R Farms, which has been in their family for nearly 70 years. The Boyds are always willing to try something new and are an inspiration to their fellow farmers. This year, the Boyds were recognized with the Environmental Stewardship Award for Manitoba for their efforts to enhance and maintain the environment. Congratulations Boyd Family!

September 30, 2016 – the Amyotte family

Tonight’s Manitoba Beef Producers family of the game is the Amyotte Family. Paisley is here tonight with her siblings Jolie and Kivor, and parents Maurice and Amy. Paisley was diagnosed with brain cancer and underwent treatment at CancerCare Manitoba. Next week she begins pre-school. We wish Paisley and the Amyotte family all the best.
October 8, 2016 – the Wiebe family

Tonight’s Manitoba Beef Producers family of the game is the Wiebe family:

Ed Wiebe is a Captain with the Winnipeg Fire Department who has served the department for nearly 30 years.

On February 4, 2007, Ed and his crew responded to a terrible house fire in St Boniface in which he sustained third-degree burns to most of his body. Since that evening, Ed and Diane have worked tirelessly on both physical and emotional rehabilitation, and in the process have become well-known speakers and advocates for those having suffered burn and PTSD injuries. On behalf of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Manitoba Beef Producers, thank you Ed and Diane for your contributions to our community.

October 29, 2016 – The Kmet Family

Tonight’s Manitoba Beef Producers family of the game is the Kmet family:

Pat, Bohdan, and Marko have volunteered with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation for more than 10 years, tirelessly supporting the Run for the Cure. When their son Marko was too young to do all the jobs required, he helped out in other ways. Their positive and generous spirit is an inspiration to everyone who they work alongside. Thank you Kmet Family!
