COVID-19 FAQ


  • How will the schedule be adjusted for the 2020 season?

    At this time, we estimate that each team will see their home schedule reduced by four games. A new schedule has not yet been determined. The CFL is working with recommendations from health officials across the country and will announce the full adjusted schedule at an appropriate time.

    We will make every effort to notify fans as official changes are made.


  • When will the season start?

    Many Canadian cities and provinces will not allow large gatherings or sporting events to take place before September. There is currently no official start date for the 2020 season, and we will continue to work with the CFL to evaluate ongoing developments. We will provide additional information and updates as they become available.


  • What is the impact on the playoffs and/or Grey Cup?

    The 108th Grey Cup will be played as a win-and-host game in the home stadium of one of the two final teams. If there are any other changes to the playoff format, they will be communicated by the CFL at an appropriate time.


  • Why have four games been cancelled?

    At this time, we estimate that each team’s home schedule will be reduced by 4 home games. This considers the earliest predicted opportunity to have fans attend games (late summer or early fall) and other factors such as days required between games.


  • I have season tickets for the 2020 season. What should I do?

    Four regular season games will be removed from your season ticket package, resulting in an adjusted total cost. Depending on your current payment status, this will result in either an adjustment to your payment plan or an account credit.
    All season ticket members will receive an email from the club explaining how this change will impact them and what to expect.


  • I have a Flex Pack. How will a new schedule affect my game selections?

    When the changes to the 2020 schedule are officially announced, flex pack members will have the opportunity to re-select their games.


  • I have a ticket vouchers for the 2020 season. How will a new schedule affect my ability to redeem them for tickets?

    When the changes to the 2020 schedule are officially announced and single game tickets are made available for sale, ticket vouchers may be redeemed as normal.


  • I’m a season ticket member paying via monthly payment plan. Will my payments be affected?

    Season ticket members are offered a variety of flexible options to pay for their tickets, making for many unique scenarios. Specific details will be delivered to season ticket members via email.

  • What happens to my account if I have paid in full?

    Your season ticket account will be credited based on the adjusted cost of your season tickets. Details on your options for that credit and how to take action will be emailed to you directly.


  • If I have an account credit, what can I do with it?

    You can apply it to your 2021 season ticket renewal, apply it toward potential win-and-host 108th Grey Cup tickets, apply it toward additional game tickets for friends, or you may receive a refund.

    We’ve been asked by many season ticket members how they can support the club through the 2020 season: We’ve developed two options for them to use their account credit in this way:

    Bomber Store Gift Cards
    Use your account credit to purchase gift cards to The Bomber Store, and we will increase the value by 20%.

    COVID-19 Team Support
    Support your team during this challenging time and donate a portion of your account credit to your community-sponsored Winnipeg Football Club. Supporters wishing to donate above $150 will receive one of the following gifts:

    – $150 to $500 donation: $50 Bomber Store gift card

    – Donation of $500 and up: $100 Bomber Store gift card & a copy of For The W: A look back at the 2019 Grey Cup championship season autographed by Andrew Harris


  • Will season ticket members be offered a refund?

    Payments made over-and-above this year’s balance for the remaining games would be carried forward as credit toward next year’s season tickets. We are offering many alternate uses for that account credit – including an option to purchase Bomber Store gift cards with a 20% value boost.

    If a refund is still the preference, we will certainly accommodate this.


  • I have a seasonal parking pass. How will this be affected?

    Parking passes are handled in the same way as game ticket purchases and will be subject to the same policies and options as game tickets.


  • What measures will you be taking to ensure the safety of fans at IG Field?

    The CFL and its teams are working together to determine best practices to eventually welcome fans back to our stadiums.

    The re-opening of IG Field for Blue Bombers games will follow all guidelines from public health officials. Full details of what to expect will be communicated once those guidelines are clear and we’re able to formalize a return to play plan.


  • What happens if more games, or the rest of the season, is cancelled?

    The CFL and each team are working with recommendations from health officials across the country in order to plan for a safe return to the field where we play as many games as possible.

    As the situation develops, we will communicate any changes as they’re made official.


  • Is the Blue Bombers office still open?

    At the suggestion of local and national governments, most Blue Bombers employees will continue working from home for the time being.     The Bomber Store at IG Field has re-opened with adjusted hours and physical distancing measures in place.


  • When will I receive my season ticket package?

    We are working to determine the format of a season ticket pickup under the current scenario. We will be communicating with our fans on what the process will be for ticket package pickup or delivery.
