WINNIPEG, MB., October 27, 2017 – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Perimeter Aviation and Exchange Income Corporation will continue to bring up to 50 youth and members of First Nations communities to each Bomber home game in the 2018 season. This partnership has already brought 19 communities from Northern Manitoba to home games this season, where attendees received a VIP experience and a meet and greet with players after the game.
“Seeing the children’s faces light up from the minute they get on the aircraft has been the best part of this program. This initiative has opened doors for our future community leaders and we are very proud to be a part of this program. Partnering with the communities we serve and being actively involved in an initiative that will inspire youth and create memories that will last a lifetime is what this is all about,” said Nick Vodden, President & CEO of Perimeter Aviation.
“Our corporate social responsibilities target suicide prevention, staying in school, and healthy living – which we incorporate into our everyday activities with our community partners. We look forward to another successful season in 2018.”
As a part of the partnership, Matt Nichols and fellow Blue Bombers Care player ambassadors will visit the Frontier Games in the Spring of 2018, assisting in the division-wide tournament for northern Manitoba schools. Earlier this year, Matthias Goossen and Ian Wild paid a similar visit to schools in Thompson and Wabowden.
