In anticipation of extreme heat conditions this evening, Country Thunder organizers are issuing a heat advisory for all fans attending tonight’s performance at Princess Auto Stadium. With the humidex expected to surpass 40°C, attendees are strongly encouraged to take proactive measures to ensure their health and safety throughout the event.
Gates to the stadium will open at 5:00 PM. Guests are advised to begin hydrating well in advance of their arrival and to continue doing so throughout the evening. Consuming water throughout the day – particularly in the hours leading up to the concert – is essential, and attendees are urged to avoid alcohol and caffeinated beverages, which may contribute to dehydration.
Consuming water-rich foods, such as fruits and vegetables, is also recommended as part of pre-event preparation. To support safe hydration, fans are permitted to bring one sealed plastic water bottle of up to one litre in volume, or one empty reusable water bottle of the same size or smaller. Water fountains and refill stations will be available within the stadium for use during the event.
In addition to hydrating, guests are encouraged to wear light, breathable clothing and to take breaks in shaded or cooler areas when needed. It is important to remain vigilant for signs of heat-related illness, which can include dizziness, headache, nausea, and an elevated heart rate. Anyone experiencing these symptoms should
seek assistance from on-site medical personnel immediately.
While the forecast calls for high temperatures, organizers are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees. With thoughtful preparation and attention to personal well-being, fans can look forward to an unforgettable night of music and celebration at Country Thunder.
