Winnipeg Blue Bombers Launch 2nd Annual Small Business Showcase presented by Manitoba Chambers of Commerce

WINNIPEG, MB., March 17, 2022 – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Manitoba Chambers of Commerce are pleased to re-launch an initiative to help small businesses in Manitoba, with one small business winning a Blue Bombers sponsorship package (value of $50,000) for the 2022 season.

Small businesses are again encouraged to apply to become one of five finalists in the Small Business Showcase presented by Manitoba Chambers of Commerce. To be eligible, a business must be a for-profit company whose principal place of business is located in Manitoba and has less than 50 full-time employees.

“We had an overwhelming number of entries last year and are excited to partner with Manitoba Chambers of Commerce in this great initiative to once again support local small businesses,” said Wade Miller, President & CEO of the Winnipeg Football Club.

To win the grand prize, the finalists will be asked to submit a two-minute video pitch on why their company is the most deserving. The winning pitch will be selected by Manitoba Chambers of Commerce and Winnipeg Football Club executives.
“The Manitoba Chambers of Commerce is honoured to be part of this successful showcase again this year, because it offers a very valuable, high-profile opportunity for our small business community,” says Chuck Davidson, President & CEO of the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce. “We look forward to seeing all the great applications and what the finalists bring to this year’s competition.”

All eligible entries received during the submission period will be judged on the following criteria: Involvement and value the business brings to the Manitoba community, sponsorship category is a good fit to partner with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, and completion of the application.
