Bombers launch Small Business Showcase presented by Purolator

WINNIPEG, MB., May 5, 2021 –  The Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Purolator are pleased to launch a new initiative to help small businesses in Manitoba, with one small business winning a $50,000 Blue Bombers sponsorship package for the 2021 season.  

Small businesses are encouraged to apply to become one of five finalists in the Small Business Showcase presented by Purolator. To be eligible, a business must be a for-profit company whose principal place of business is located in Manitoba and has less than 50 full-time employees.

“We are excited to partner with Purolator in such a great initiative to support Manitoba small businesses,” says Wade Miller, President & CEO of the Winnipeg Football Club. “This is just another example of Purolator’s commitment to Manitoba businesses and our community.”

Each of the five finalists will receive a $500 shipping credit from Purolator. To win the grand prize, the finalists will be asked to submit a two-minute video pitch on why their company is the most deserving. The wining pitch will be selected by Purolator and Winnipeg Football Club executives.

All eligible entries received during the submission period will be judged on the following criteria: Involvement and value the business brings to the Manitoba community, sponsorship category is a good fit to partner with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, and completion of the application.
