Blue Bombers add three to roster

WINNIPEG, MB., January 15, 2021 – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the team has signed American defensive back Demetrious Cox, American defensive end Vontarrius Dora and American receiver Davon Grayson.

Cox (6-0, 200, Michigan State, April 20, 1994 in Jeannette, PA) has spent time practice squads with the Bengals, Carolina Panthers and Arizona Cardinals before returning to Cincinnati in 2019. Cox played in four games with Carolina in 2017. He was most recently with the New York Guardians of the XFL. Cox played collegiately at Michigan State, seeing action in 51 games, starting 25 and recording 91 solo tackles, 75 tackle assists, one sack, 14 pass breakups, four interceptions, one forced fumbled, two fumble recoveries and two touchdowns.

Dora (6-4, 255, Louisiana Tech, September 7, 1994 in West Point, MS) has spent the past three seasons in the Arizona Cardinals organization, and prior to that was on the practice squads in Indianapolis and Denver. Dora saw action in 46 games at Louisiana Tech, including starting all 13 at defensive end his senior season, finishing with a career-high 48 tackles (31 solo, 17 assisted) as well as a career-high and team-high six sacks for a loss of 51 yards.

Grayson (6-2, 190, East Carolina, September 5, 1995 in Cleveland, OH) as a senior in 2017, Grayson finished with career-bests in receptions (59), receiving yards (886) and touchdowns (six). He signed with the Kansas City Chiefs in May of 2018.
