Andrew Harris, Marcus Sayles Named Shaw CFL Top Performers for Week 18

WINNIPEG, MB., October 15, 2019 – The Canadian Football League announced Tuesday that running back Andrew Harris and defensive back Marcus Sayles have been named a Shaw CFL Top Performers for their work in Saturday’s win over the Montreal Alouettes.

Harris finished the night with a season-high 24 carries for another season-high 166 yards as the Bombers averaged 7.6 yards on first down.

Harris also moved past Bombers legend Leo Lewis into ninth place on the CFL’s all-time rushing list with 8,919 yards, and moved past Nik Lewis into seventh place on the CFL’s all-time yards from scrimmage list. Harris is now at 13,984 yards.

Sayles didn’t just pick two Vernon Adams Jr. pass attempts, he was also at the centre of another turnover when he forced Alouettes’ punter Boris Bede to pull the ball down rather than have a punt blocked. Sayles finished the night with three tackles including one tackle for a loss, two interceptions and one pass knockdown.

Now 10-6, the team faces a home-and-home series against the Calgary Stampeders to close out the season and will return to IG Field October 25th. Tickets can be purchased here.
