Bombers Add Three to Roster

WINNIPEG, MB., February 19, 2019 –  The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announce today the club has signed international defensive end  Alex McCalister, international receiver Tim Wilson and international defensive back Joe Este.

McCalister (6’6, 240, University of Florida, October 17, 1993 in Fort Stewart, GA.) played three seasons for the Florida Gators, tallying 52 total tackles, 18.5 tackles for a loss, 12.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in 27 games. McCalister was selected in the 7th round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles and spent time on the Eagles practice squad during the 2017 season. He also spent time with the Washington Redskins.

Wilson (5’9, 170, East Stroudsburg University, February 16, 1994 in Wayne, PA.) played four seasons with the East Stroudsburg Warriors, finishing with 133 catches for 2,042 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns in 39 games played. In 2018, Wilson signed with the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent.

Este (5’11, 200, University of Tennessee Martin, June 25, 1994 in Kenner, LA.) played two seasons for the Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks, tallying 129 total tackles, four interceptions, and both a forced fumble and fumble recovery in 23 games played. In 2018, Este signed with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent.
