East side of stadium open early due to rain
WINNIPEG, MB., September 8, 2018 – Due to rain this afternoon,The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are opening the east side of Investors Group Field as of 12:30 today to shelter fans from the rain.
Fans can enter the stadium through the tailgate area located outside of Gate 2 and sit in the covered east side seats. Concessions will be open on the east side of the stadium, and the TSN broadcast of the Toronto Argonauts vs the Hamilton Tiger-Cats will be played on the video boards. The West side of the stadium will be open to the public at the regular 1:30 pm gate time.
As a reminder, Kendra Kay will perform at the Blue & Gold Stage in the Tailgate prior to kickoff and will also headline the halftime show as part of the 2018 Concert Series.
Tickets for the club’s next home game following the Banjo Bowl, Friday, September 21st against the Montreal Alouettes (7:30 p.m. kickoff), are also moving quickly and are available for purchase here.
The Club’s Family Day will take place October 13thwhen the team once again takes on the Roughriders. The 1:00 p.m. game will feature appearances by favourite TV characters including SpongeBob Square Pants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, PAW Patrol, and Dora the Explorer.
