Winnipeg Blue Bombers add to practice roster
WINNIPEG, MB., August 29, 2018 – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announce today the club has signed international defensive end Gerald Rivers.
Rivers (6’5, 255, Ole Miss, June 22, 1990 in Avondale Estates, GA.) played four seasons in the NFL, spending time with six different NFL teams. In 2018, Rivers signed with the Edmonton Eskimos, making four total tackles in five games. Rivers spent his college career with the Ole Miss Rebels. In three seasons, Rivers had 31 total tackles and four and a half sacks in 27 games.
The club has also released National receiver Tyrone Pierre from the practice roster.
