Precaution Urged As Temperatures Remain High For Tonight’s Game

WINNIPEG, MB., August 10, 2018 – Due to Environment Canada cautioning that temperatures will rise above 30C and humidex values will exceed 40C today, the Winnipeg Football Club is once again advising fans to take the following precautions to protect themselves:

  • Drink plenty of water and other non-alcoholic, non-caffeinated beverages to stay hydrated
  • Monitor symptoms of heat stroke or heat exhaustion such as high body temperature, lack of sweat, confusion, or fainting.
  • Wear a hat and light, loose-fitting clothing along with sun screen.

Bottled Aquafina water has been reduced to $3.00 for every game going forward, and fans are reminded that they can bring sealed plastic water bottles up to 1 litre or empty water bottles into the stadium which can be filled up at water fountains. Additional water refill stations have also been added throughout the stadium.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will be hosting the annual Law Enforcement Appreciation game tonight as the team takes on the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Tickets can be purchased here, or by calling 204-784-7448.
