WINNIPEG, MB., May 11, 2018 – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are set to open their 2018 training camp on Sunday, May 20th at Investors Group Field. The Blue Bombers will play two pre-season games: June 1st at Investors Group Field against the Edmonton Eskimos, and June 8th in Vancouver against the BC Lions.
Quarterbacks and CFL newcomers will arrive in Winnipeg and be on the field for the opening of rookie camp on Wednesday, May 16th. Veterans report on May 19th and will begin practicing on May 20th.
A weekly practice/media schedule for training camp, including practice times and media availability/filming times will be distributed beginning Monday, May 14th. If media have any specific questions pertaining to a certain date during training camp, please check with the Blue Bombers Public Relations Department for tentative details of that day.
Throughout training camp, media availability with players will take place on the field immediately following practice. Head Coach Mike O’Shea will be made available to the media approximately 20 minutes after the end of practice.
The team’s home opener – also the CFL’s opening game of 2018 – is Thursday, June 14th at 7:30 p.m. against Western Division rival, Edmonton. Season tickets for the 2018 season are available here, or by calling 204-784-7448, and single game tickets available here.
