Bombers Add Six to Roster

WINNIPEG, MB., May 22, 2017 – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the club has signed international defensive backs Tahaan Goodman and Brian Walker, International receiver Larry Raper, International linebacker Jovan Santos-Knox,  International offensive lineman Kodi Kieler, and National lineman Qadr Spooner.

Goodman (6-2, 200, UCLA, December 9, 1994, in Rancho Cucamonga, CA) spent four seasons at UCLA, seeing action in 41 games, including 13 starts in the secondary. He recorded 126 total tackles, one sack, two interceptions, and three forced fumbles.

Walker (5-10, 195, Fayetteville State, November 7, 1995 in Charlotte, NC) finished his senior season of 2016 with 25 tackles and two interceptions, while also recording seven pass knockdowns.

Raper (5-11, 180, North Carolina A&T, May 10, 1990 in Shelby, NC) spent four seasons at North Carolina A&T, playing in 38 games. He recorded 56 receptions for 910 yards and eight touchdowns.

Santos-Knox (6-2, 220, UMass, July 5, 1994 in Waterbury, CT) recorded 339 total tackles, 25.5 tackles for loss, six sacks, two interceptions and one forced fumble through four seasons at UMass. During that time, Santos-Knox played in 44 career games.

Kieler (6-6, 320, Michigan State, February 24, 1994 in Rockwood, MI) spent four seasons at Michigan State, seeing action in 49 career games, including 30 starts (22 at right tackle, five at left tackle, three at center). In his senior season of 2016, Kieler started 11 games, splitting those starts between centre, left tackle and right tackle.

Spooner (6-4, 315, McGill, August 7, 1992 in Brossard, QC) was selected 15th overall by Winnipeg in the 2017 CFL Draft. He played in the CIS East West Bowl this past season. Spooner played in eight regular season games with four starts at left tackle and two at left guard. Spooner was named a RESQ All-Star and spent four seasons at McGill.
