An 11th round draft pick of the Cleveland Browns, Farrell Funston arrived in Winnipeg in 1959 at the height of the most successful run in franchise history. He stayed until 1966 and was part of three Grey Cup championships while being named the team’s Most Outstanding Player in 1963 and leading the club in receiving three times, in 1961, 1963 and 1965.
