Barry Bain

Barry Bain was an active player, organizer and executive in sports around Winnipeg. He helped organize and captain the Grain Exchange Hockey Club (later known as the Winnipegs) in 1923, a team that captured the Allan Cup. He was also a member of the Winnipeg Rowing Club and was the president of the Winnipeg Football club in 1933-34. Bain was part of the first group of men who helped form the WFC, elected as vice president on the day of the club’s founding on June 10, 1930.
