Bombers Add Receiver TJ Thorpe

WINNIPEG, MB., April 12, 2017 –   The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the addition of International receiver T.J. Thorpe.

Thorpe (6-0, 200, Virginia, May 26, 1993 in Durham, NC) most recently was with the Washington Redskins before being released prior to the start of last season. He split his collegiate career between North Carolina and Virginia, playing his final year at Virginia, and hauling in 23 receptions for 321 yards and a touchdown. He also recorded 42 receptions for 574 yards and five touchdowns for North Carolina, while breaking the school record for kick return yards (960) in a season. Thorpe earned All-ACC honors with the Tar Heels.
