Rifles Week 9 Preview

The Winnipeg Rifles have one final shot at finishing their 2016 Prairie Football Conference season in style.

The Rifles (2-6 and eliminated from the postseason picture) play host to the Saskatoon Hilltops (7-1) Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. And, because of the NHL’s Heritage Classic rink being set up at Investors Group Field, the Rifles will be wrapping up their year at Charlie Krupp Stadium in an event the club is hyping as ‘Chaos at Krupp.’

The Rifles are hoping their fans will be on board for the change in locale, and to salute fifth-year players Tim Dimiduk and Zach Regert as they end their junior careers.

As an FYI, Charlie Krupp Stadium – home of the North Winnipeg Nomads Football Club – is located at 581 McPhillips Street across from McPhillips Street Station Casino. The Rifles note that for parking fans should enter through the North Centennial Community Center parking lot at 90 Sinclair Street, via the back entrance of Charlie Krupp Field.

Alternatively, fans can park at the casino. There is a limited amount of handicap stalls in the lot off McPhillips.

Individual game day tickets are available via Ticketmaster or at the gate, which opens at 11 a.m. Rifles fans are reminded if they can’t make the game, they can still catch  the action online at riflesfootball.com
