WHSFL: Week 4 Preview

The Winnipeg High School Football League reaches the midway point of the regular season schedule this week, and the jockeying for playoff positions is about to get interesting.

Some of the Week 4 storylines to keep an eye on:

  • Can the St. Paul’s Crusaders and Grant Park Pirates keep their perfect records intact after 3-0 starts? The Crusaders play host to the Sturgeon Creek Huskies while the Pirates face the winless Kelvin Crusaders in their annual Homecoming Game.
  • There are also two undefeated teams atop the Kas Vidruk (AA) Division standings, with Vincent Massey Brandon hosting the Churchill Bulldogs and St. Paul’s AA heading over to East Side Field to face the West Kildonan Wolverines.
  • And in the Andy Currie Division (A), the standings should also be tightening up with the St. Norbert Celtics, 3-0, travelling to Portage to face the 2-1 Trojans while the unbeaten Dryden Eagles are home to the Daniel McIntyre Maroons.
