Bombers announce new partnership with EventRide

WINNIPEG, MB., June 17, 2016 –  The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce a new partnership with local company EventRide, offering Bomber fans a new option for game day transportation.

EventRide’s ride-share app gives fans a new green option to get to the game by matching fans that are nearest each other. Fans can either request or offer a ride, and share the costs of parking all through the app, or even offer a free ride.

“When a football fan decides they want to leave their car at home, EventRide will find them someone who is prepared to share a ride to the game” says CEO and former Federal Politician Rod Bruinooge.

Beyond offering the Park & Ride program, free post-game Winnipeg Transit service and additional pre-game routes to the stadium, and the Bike Valet at the stadium, the Winnipeg Football Club is proud to offer another way for fans to reduce their carbon footprint and easily get to the game.

“We’re thrilled to be able to offer fans an innovative transportation option that embraces the community spirit of our great Bomber fans,” said President & CEO, Wade Miller. “The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are excited to support local entrepreneurs as they continue to enhance our great city.”

“Fans share a community like no other group, and with that community comes trust. Our service will enable fans to be environmentally responsible by helping to reduce cars from the road and potentially earn carbon credits for their team” added Lawrence Toet, V.P. of Business Development and former Member of the Environment Committee in the House of Commons.
