Blue Bombers add receiver and defensive back

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announce today the club has added International receiver Toney Clemons and International defensive back Demetrius Wright.

Clemons (6-2, 210, Colorado, October 11, 1988,  Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) was drafted by the Steelers in the 7th round of the 2012 NFL Draft, after splitting his collegiate career between Michigan and Colorado. After spending time on the Steelers practice roster, he played with Jacksonville, and then Carolina, where in 2013 Clemons recorded three receptions for 41 yards. Clemons also had a brief stint with San Diego in 2013. He caught 86 passes for 1,162 yards, with 11 touchdowns, while at Colorado.

Wright (6-1,  208, USC,  December 19, 1991 in Corona, California) played four seasons at the University of Southern California. His first three seasons he played mainly special teams, while starting in his senior season at safety. He recorded  87 tackles and three pass deflections during his time at USC. He was signed by the Miami Dolphins in May of 2014 but released following training camp.
