Blue Bombers Sign Receiver Kito Poblah

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed non-import receiver Kito Poblah, the club announced today. Poblah was selected in the 2011 Supplemental Draft earlier this week by the Blue Bombers.

Poblah (6-2, 213, Central Michigan, DOB: September 18, 1987 in Montréal, Québec) was a team captain in his senior year when he finished second on the team with 558 yards and five touchdowns. In four years, Poblah caught 154 passes for 1,908 yards and 15 touchdowns and had a streak of 36 consecutive games with at least one reception.  He finished his career at Central Michigan in ninth place on the school’s all-time receiving yardage list.

“We’re very happy to be adding a player of Kito’s caliber to our roster,” said Vice-President and General Manager Joe Mack.  “We’re confident he can come in and compete at a professional level and we very much look forward to watching him participate in training camp beginning on Sunday.”
