Blue Acquire Two Draft Picks In Trade With Edmonton

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have traded non-import long-snapper Taylor Inglis to the Edmonton Eskimos in exchange for two draft picks in the upcoming CFL Draft.

Inglis signed with Winnipeg in July and played in 17 games for the Blue Bombers as their long-snapper.

With the trade, Winnipeg receives a fifth (32nd overall) and sixth round (41st overall) draft pick in the 2011 CFL Draft.  The fifth round pick was originally traded to Edmonton from Winnipeg in exchange for the rights to offensive lineman Kelly Butler.

“Being able to secure two more draft picks in the 2011 draft is a key for us. We have maintained the notion that young Canadian talent is crucial to success, and this will help us with that process,” said Vice-President and General Manager Joe Mack.
