2011 (Wpg): Browne only suited up in the first regular season game against Hamilton on Jul 01/11 and tore his bicep, forcing him to miss the remainder of the season.  He did return in time for the playoffs, playing in both the East Final and 99th Grey Cup and recorded one special teams tackle in the championship game.

2010 (Wpg): Browne became a key contributor on defence in 2010, making five starts at safety in place of the injured Ian Logan. He finished the season with 14 tackles and one interception which he returned 60 yards after catching it in the endzone to snuff out a Hamilton touchdown on Aug 13/10. Browne also continued his strong play on special teams and registered four special teams tackles. He missed seven games due to injury.

2009 (Wpg): Browne was solid on special teams in 2009, recording 16 special teams tackles in 14 games with the Blue Bombers. He missed four games due to injury.

2008 (BC): Browne was the 38th overall draft pick in the 2008 CFL Draft, and spent most of the season on the BC Lions' practice roster. He made his CFL debut dressing in week six against Edmonton. A free agent at the conclusion of the season, Browne signed with Saskatchewan before being traded to Winnipeg.

Manitoba Bisons (CIS): Browne was a Canada West All-Star and second-team All-Canadian in 2007, the same year his college team – the University of Manitoba Bisons – won the Vanier Cup.

In a trade with Saskatchewan on April 1, 2009 along with OL Jean Francois Morin-Roberge, WR Adarius Bowman, a sixth round draft pick in the 2010 CFL Canadian Draft and a fifth round pick in 2012 in exchange for OL Dan Goodspeed, a fifth round pick in the 2009 CFL Canadian Draft and a fifth round pick in either 2011 or 2012.
