2011 (IFAF/Wpg): Pontbriand spent two weeks on the practice roster with the Blue Bombers after signing with the team in August and then dressed for the final nine regular season games and both the East Final and 99th Grey Cup. While primarily used as an extra blocker, Pontbriand got on the stat sheet in a big way on Nov 5/11 against the Calgary Stampeders when he caught a pass for 41 yards – his longest of the season. Pontbriand was also the special teams captain of the silver medal-winning Team Canada at the 2011 IFAF Senior Men's World Championship before signing with Winnipeg. He recorded five receptions for 45 yards and one touchdown during the tournament.
Laval Rouge et Or (CIS): Pontbriand was part of Laval’s 2006 national championship winning team.
Signed as a free agent on August 17, 2011.
