Jim Bell

Jim Bell was named Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer on January 19, 2011 after spending the previous two years as President of the Winnipeg Football Club.

Bell continues to manage the Club's day-to-day operations while working closely with Mr. Buchko in managing all of the Bombers' business operations.  He is also heavily involved in the transition to Investors Group Field.

Bell has been with the Football Club since April of 2002 when he was hired as Director of Finance before being promoted to Vice-President of Finance and Administration in 2006.  Bell’s responsibilities have included all areas of accounting and finance as well as overseeing special projects including the 2006 Grey Cup.

He was named interim President in December of 2009 and took over the job permanently in February of 2010.

Despite a 4-14 record on the field in his first season as club President, the Winnipeg Football Club – under Bell’s guidance – reported a significant profit of $409 thousand.

Bell majored in Commerce at the University of Manitoba. A lifelong Winnipegger, Jim and his wife Helen have three children — Trevor, Cory and Acksanna.
