Jim Bell was named President of the Winnipeg Football Club in February of 2010, after taking on the role on an interim basis in December of 2009.
Bell oversees and operates all of the Bombers’ business operations, while Vice-President and General Manager Joe Mack continues to handle all aspects of football operations.
Bell has spent the past eight seasons with the Winnipeg Football Club, joining the organization in April of 2002 in the role of Director of Finance. He was promoted to VP of Finance and Administration in 2006. Bell worked closely with the former President and CEO Lyle Bauer in rebuilding the franchise financially. He has also been a driving force in efforts to control expenses and increase revenues. Bell’s responsibilities have included all areas of accounting and finance as well as overseeing special projects including the 2006 Grey Cup.
Bell majored in Commerce at the University of Manitoba. A lifelong Winnipegger, Jim and his wife Helen have three children — Trevor, Cory and Acksanna.
