Bombers Sign Glover, Add Three Others

The Blue Bombers have agreed to terms with import defensive back LaVar Glover, non-import offensive lineman John Hashem, non-import slotback Scott McHenry and import defensive back Clint Kent. As per team policy, details of the agreements were not disclosed.

Glover (5-10, 180, Cincinnati, DOB: December 17, 1978 in Dayton, Ohio) has spent the past four seasons with the B.C. Lions. During that time, he racked up 116 tackles, seven interceptions and two touchdowns. He was also a West Division All-Star in 2007.

Hashem (6-7, 310, Regina, DOB: May 15, 1987 in Regina, Saskatchewan) was drafted in the third round by the Calgary Stampeders in the 2009 Canadian Draft. He’s spent the past four seasons of his CIS career at Regina, starting 16 consecutive games through the 2007 and 2008 seasons.

McHenry (6-2, 215, Saskatchewan, DOB: May 25, 1987 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) was drafted by the Stampeders in the 4th round of the 2009 Canadian Draft, He has starred at the University of Saskatchewan, being named to back-to-back East West Bowls in 2007 and 2008. He finished the 2009 season with 23 receptions for 375 yards.

Kent (5-10, 191, James Madison, DOB: March 6, 1983 in Macon, Georgia) spent the 2006 season with the Alouettes as a rookie, playing in 14 games and recording 36 tackles and one sack. He played his college football at James Madison University, ending his career there as the record holder in interceptions with 13.
