The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed non-import defensive lineman Rob Jubenville, non-import offensive lineman Jean-Sebastien Laberge and their 23rd overall pick in this year’s draft, linebacker Rene Stephan.

Jubenville (6-2, 255, Saint Mary’s, DOB: November 30, 1989 in Oshawa, Ontario) led the entire CIS in sacks last season after recording 10 in eight games, while also racking up 43 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles.  Jubenville was named a second team All-Canadian for his efforts.

Laberge (6-4, 295, Sherbrooke, DOB: May 9, 1987 in Valleyfield, Quebec) started last year on the offensive line for the Vert et Or and helped the team to a 7-2 record and an appearance in the playoffs.  Largely counted on to pass protect, Laberge helped the Sherbrooke offence average a ninth-best 268.4 passing yards per game.

Stephan (6-1, 225, Harding, DOB: May 7, 1988 in St. Catharine’s, Ontario) was selected in the fourth round (23rd overall) in this year’s CFL Draft and attended Harding University after transferring from De Anza Junior College in 2009. He recorded 145 total tackles between the two schools as well as 4.5 sacks and nine tackles for loss. Stephan was named a First Team All Conference linebacker while at De Anza College.
