The Winnipeg Football Club has added import running back Chad Simpson to their roster.
Simpson (5-9, 216, Morgan State, DOB: August 22, 1985 in Miami, Florida) signed with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2008 and played in 25 games over the course of two seasons as a reserve running back and kickoff returner, before being picked up by the Washington Redskins in 2010 where he appeared in three games. He returned 55 kickoffs for 1,301 yards and one touchdown while also racking up 147 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 30 carries. Simpson transferred to Morgan State from South Florida and set the school’s single season rushing record with 1,402 rushing yards as a senior.
